OCBS: Career Stages and Pivoting
The OCBS: Career Stages and Pivoting event provided a great space for OCs to learn from each other and network. Blaise Boulton (TL 2008) and Alberto Fraquelli (TL 2005) spoke with the group about their experiences with pivoting their careers and answered questions to help others take the next step in their career change.
The group had a mixture of OCs in different stages of pivoting - many wanting to pivot, others who have taken the first step but want to know what to do next, and a few who have already done it and might do it again! Everyone was so engaged and there was a real sense that the evening provided clarity and motivation for so many of the audience. It may have been the pizza and wine also, but such was the atmosphere that the group had to be asked to leave, at gone 10pm on a school night!
Finally, thank you to our speakers and to Ollie Bishop (SH 1995) and TIPi for hosting. Looking forward to the OCBS social in May, details will emerge soon!
OCBS Entrepreneurship: Fundraising 101 - How and when to raise money
It was a brilliant OC Entrepreneurs event where OCs were able to hear from Greg Tufnell (NG 1975), Charlotte Boundy (TL 2010), and Max Jamilly (WG 2010), who provided great insight into securing and navigating investment.
To see OCs, who are at different stages in business, engaging and networking and having fun, is at the very heart of the OC Business Section.
Thanks to our speakers for their time and to Ollie Bishop (SH 1995) and TIPi for hosting.
