About the OC Society
When you leave Highgate School, you become a member of the OC Society, meaning you can benefit from the connections, events and opportunities available in the OC community.
Our principal objective is:
To encourage all generations of OCs to keep in touch with one another and the School. We do this by organising events, sporting activities, business and entrepreneurial connections and advice.
Our values:
Respect the historical traditions of the Society and the School.
Enjoy OC reunions when past pupils reunite with old school friends.
Participate in sport and other pursuits learnt at School, whilst furthering OC friendships.
Engage with the large network of OCs who have careers in many walks of life by mixing, exchanging best practice, and helping other OCs at different stages in their business lives or careers.
Encourage volunteering within the Society and “giving back” to those OCs in need of support, whilst helping the School’s charitable priorities.
“We’re here to keep you connected to your peers and the School!”
The OC Committee
“One of the strengths of the OC Society is the support given by the School’s Development and OC Team in organising events, regional trips and other opportunities for OCs to connect. I am pleased to work closely with Stuart Evans, who is the Head of OC Relations.”
- OC President, John Zani (WG 1966)

Why I do what I do
So many of you choose pursuits or careers that bring happiness, fulfilment and enjoyment. Whether it’s the exhilaration of growing your own business, creative pastimes, mentoring involvement, competitive sports, or perhaps something more outlandish –like beekeeping or kitesurfing at the weekends –we want to hear about it, and why you do it.
‘Why I do What I do’ is a series that highlights the achievements of OCs and spotlights the reasons behind their choices in careers, hobbies and voluntary activities.
