OC Business Section’s Centenary Anniversary

The OC Business Section recently celebrated its centenary anniversary. Set up after the First World war, to aid service personnel with employment and advice upon their return, it has served as a vehicle for support, networking, and business development ever since.

I have been delighted to be involved over recent years, working closely with Richard Brewster and Stuart Evans to help OCs network or gain advice in an ever-changing world of employment. It has been wonderful to see interest in the OCBS pique the interest of so many young OCs, whilst also count on the wisdom and support of so many generous OCs (many of whom were present at a celebratory lunch).

The network is such a vibrant and influential one, which has such great potential to support. Indeed, the OC news publications are always testament to the broad network, with this one proving no exception.

As the new OCBS chair, I look forward to increasing the opportunities and accessibility for OCs across the network, and to meeting up at an event soon.
