Biomimetic Stealth Technology

Congratulations to Jennifer Jehan (NG 2017) who competed in the Nucleate BioFence 2024 hackathon and won the 2nd place prize! Jen and her team received 2nd for their biomimetic stealth technology they created and presented.

Biomimetics are innovative design structures inspired by nature to help solve human problems like Velcro or aircraft. How is Velcro inspired by nature? The origin of Velcro came from the burdock plant’s seed called a ‘bur’ which will cling onto your clothes.

Biometric stealth technologies are designs that cannot be seen by the eye and are inorganic structures used in the body to help with body functions such as membrane proteins.

We look forward to what Jen designs in the future for Biometric stealth technology!
