Historic Highgate Golf Victory Caps Strong Week for OC Sport

The OC Golf team continued its excellent form with a memorable 3-2 victory over Highgate Golf Club, securing the club's first win at Highgate since 2018. 

Final Score: Old Cholmeleians 3 – 2 Highgate Golf Club

  • Gerald Wingrove (NG 1972) & Graham Dunbar (MG 1975) won 5&4 

  • Alex Tansey (HG 2012) & Jack Wilcox (SH 2023) won 1 up 

  • Anuj Anand (HG 1991) & David Monkman (NG 1976) won 1 up 

 

Cricket  

There were mixed results for Old Cholmeleians on Saturday, with the 1st XI recording an impressive victory while the 2nd XI fell to a strong Bamville side. 

 

1st XI vs Little Berkhamsted CC 1st XI 

Result: Won by 84 runs 

Old Cholmeleians CC 1st XI 178 (37.3) 

Little Berkhamsted CC 1st XI 94 (26.2) 

 

2nd XI vs Bamville CC 1st XI  

Result: Lost by 159 runs

1st XI 

  • Eddie Tse (SG 2013) starred with an excellent 89 runs 

  • Phil Taylor produced a devastating spell of 3 for 7 

2nd XI 

  • Munir Ahmed led the bowling attack with outstanding figures of 4 for 15 

 Netball 

The OC team secured a strong 25-18 victory over Ball or Nothing, continuing their impressive form. Congratulations to Players of the Match Ava Mulvihill (9EG, 2021) and Eve Allison (SH, 2018) for their outstanding performances and contribution to the team's success. 

The OCs will be back in action on 18 August when they take on the Highbury Honey Badgers. We wish the team the very best of luck for the match.
