Medical Student and Professional Athlete

On Monday, Matt Kaminer (EG 2022) visited School to speak at the SpEx Awards Evening. 

At the event, Matt spoke about how he has continued to push himself in his studies and sports now that he has left School. When in Y11 and after the Covid pandemic, Matt started to train seriously to compete for the Triathlon South African team. He is currently in his third year studying medicine at the University of Bristol while also a professional Ironman Triathlete. Not only is he studying and a professional athlete, but Matt is also inspiring and influencing others through Instagram with over 70,000 followers. 

With so much achievement through sports and academics while being incredibly humble, Matt was a great speaker to have at the awards evening to inspire the current pupils to have a strong work ethic, have the desire to continuously improve and humility.
