OC Fives

Alan Barber Cup Success 

 On 26 October, despite being unable to field a full team of six, our determined quartet, Jack Ledigo (KG 2019), Aroop Bhattacharya (KG 2012), Abs Bhattacharya (KG 2006), and Emily Scoones (GH 2009), travelled to Stowe for the first round of the Alan Barber Cup. Their resilience paid off with a fantastic win against the Old Edwardians. The team now looks forward to the next round against Mill Hill in December. 

League Action 

 In Division 2, we battled to a hard-fought draw against the Old Etonians on 5 November. While Division 1 has brought a few tough results recently, the squad remains focused with a busy schedule ahead in both divisions and the ABC tournament before Christmas. Stay tuned for more updates as the season heats up!

OC Netball Update 

Netball’s latest game was a fantastic success! They faced Nets be Real and came out on top with an impressive score of 23–8. The team showed incredible energy and teamwork throughout the match. 

A special shout-out to the Players of the Match, Lizzie Mills (SG 2021) and Eve Allison (SH 2018), for their outstanding performances on the court.  

They’ll be taking on Netchix on 25th November.

 The 1'splayed out a thrilling 4–4 draw against the Johnians. Goals came courtesy of George Pugh (TL 2018) x2, Oli Light (NG 2018), and Victor Bennett (KG 2020), with assists from Oli, Tom Waine (QG 2017), and Ben Miller (NG 2021). It was an end-to-end contest showcasing attacking flair and determination. 

Unfortunately, the 2’s fixture was called off, but both sides are gearing up for this Saturday's matches: 

• 1’s: Home to Tonbridge, 11:00 AM kick-off (School 1st Club, weather permitting) 

• 2’s: Away to Lancing, 12:30 PM kick-off
