OC Netball & Football Update
Football:
Our Football 2s produced a determined performance at the weekend, finishing with a well‑deserved 2–2 draw against Alleyn’s. The team showed real resilience throughout the match, with goals coming from George Pugh (TL 2018) and Tom Waine (QG 2017). Both goals were created by the excellent supply from Ben Turnill (EG 2022), who delivered two assists and was rightly named Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution.
Among the many positive moments was a brilliant action shot captured of Triv Maude (WG 2021) marauding down the wing, showcasing the energy and attacking intent that ran through the team’s performance.
Looking ahead to this Saturday, our 1s will be travelling away to face KCS, while the 2s will be at home against Old Berkhampstead. We wish both teams the best of luck as they prepare for another exciting weekend of football.
Netball:
The OC Netball team delivered another strong performance last night, taking a well‑earned 26–20 win against Netchix. The squad showed impressive consistency across the court, maintaining control of the game from the opening whistle to the final minutes.
For the second match running, Ava Mulvihill (EG 2021) & Eve Allison (SH 2018) were named Players of the Match. Both athletes brought energy, precision, and composure under pressure, helping drive the team’s attack while keeping momentum high throughout.
OC’s next fixture is set for 3rd March, where they will face 99 Problems. With back‑to‑back standout performances and growing confidence within the team, OC will be looking to carry their winning form into the upcoming match.
Stay tuned for further updates as the season continues!
