Season Starts Strong for Netball, Golf Edged Out in Close Contest

OC Netball got their summer season underway with a hard-fought 17–17 draw in their opening fixture. It was an encouraging team performance, with Ella Carmen (EG 2019) deservedly named Player of the Match for her standout contribution. The team will look to build on this positive start when they take on 99 Problems on 23 June. 

OC Golf suffered a narrow 5.5–4.5 defeat to the Old Millhillians on Saturday 6 June at New Zealand Golf Club, with the visitors edging the afternoon matches to seal victory. 

Gerald Wingrove (NG 1973) was the standout performer, winning both of his matches. Kim Harris (GH 1973) and Luke Nokes (KG 2002) each contributed a win and a half. 

A close and enjoyable contest played in great spirits!
