Tough Battles, Spirited Performances

It was a weekend of hard-fought battles for both OC Football teams, with plenty of positives to take forward despite the results. The OC 1’s faced Repton in a closely contested match that ended in a 3–2 loss with Ben Miller (NG 2021) being the goal scorer. The team showed resilience and kept pushing until the final whistle. 

Meanwhile, the OC 2’s were involved in a high-scoring encounter against Berkhamsted, which finished 6–3 in favour of the opposition. Goals came from Ozair Satar (MG 2017), John Tayleur (QG 1995), and Nick Franklin (FG 2002), with Satar also providing two assists alongside Vinnie Cohen (GH 2022). Despite the defeat, the attacking performance was a highlight, and the team demonstrated plenty of promise going forward. 

Looking ahead, both sides will be back in action at home this weekend. The OC 1’s take on Charterhouse with an 11:00 AM kick-off, while the OC 2’s face the Radleians at the same time.
