Don Bowles has died at age 91

Don passed away on Thursday, 13 November, just a few months after Ann, his wife of 70 years , died.

During his dedicated tenure of 42 years at the school, OCs will remember Don as Head of Design Technology, as well as House Master of Heathgate (1964-72) and Cordell (1972-77). A keen and avid sailor, Don ran the sailing club at Highgate for over 30 years and encouraged numerous OCs to develop their skill and passion for the sport.

A funeral is planned for 9th January at 2:15pm at the Hastings Crematorium: The Ridge, Hastings TN34 2AE. Afterwards, you are warmly welcome to Don’s wake at the Hastings and St Leonards’ Sailing Club on the St Leonards Seafront: Marina, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN38 0BU. Parking is available directly opposite the Royal Victoria Hotel.
