Eddie Villiers (SG 1977) appointed Deputy Chair of Middlesex Cricket

Congratulations to Eddie Villiers (SG 1977), who has been appointed to the role of Deputy Chair of Middlesex Cricket Club.

Eddie is currently serving his seventh year on the Middlesex Board, where he was first appointed as one of two non-voting Board members, before securing a further term on the Board as one of two positions voted for in the Recreational Club members’ ballot in 2019. He chairs the Club’s Commercial Committee and also sits on the Club’s Recreational Cricket Committee and is Chair of the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy.

Eddie is also Chair of Primrose Hill Cricket Club and played a leading role in the formation of the club a decade and a half ago, and still coaches Primrose Hill’s Under-8s and Under-9s.

Eddie said of the appointment:

“It has been a great pleasure and privilege to sit on the Board of Middlesex and so I was delighted to be asked to step up and act as Deputy Chair. There is a huge amount going on in cricket in England at the moment, which makes the timing of this new role doubly exciting […] I can’t wait to help take the Club back to the top of both Men’s and Women’s cricket.”
