Classical Pride 2024
The Classical Pride concert Oliver Zeffman (TL 2011) put on last year returns in a few weeks!
After being a hit last year, the event has now expanded to a 5-event festival between 3rd - 7th July. This will include a major concert at the Barbican with the LSO, hosted by Nick Grimshaw; and a Classical Drag Show at Outernet with top talent including Monét X Change and Thorgy Thor.
The Telegraph report on last year’s concert said,
“It was billed as the first-ever Classical Pride concert anywhere in Europe, which seems a surprising omission...Finally came Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet, played with tremendous ardour and shrewd dramatic timing under Zeffman's baton.”
Proceeds again go to three important LGBTQ+ charities - Terrence Higgins Trust, Rainbow Railroad and Amplifund .
