Dr Szydlo Returns to Royal Institution for Family Fun Day

Following the success of his Royal Institution lecture in March, Dr Andrew Szydlo has been invited back to give two talks at the Family Fun Day: Remarkable Reactions on Saturday 30 May. 

The event is aimed at families, particularly children aged 6–12 and will feature a wide range of hands-on activities. Visitors can test their reaction speed, explore chain reactions, and enjoy interactive experiments throughout the building. In the demo room, a rolling programme of experiments will run every half hour. 

Dr Szydlo’s theatre talks, filled with spectacular experiments and “wow” moments, will take place at 12.00pm and 2.00pm. 

A much-loved and inspirational teacher at School for over 50 years, Dr Szydlo is renowned for bringing chemistry vividly to life and inspiring generations of pupils.
