Football 1’s Win, 2’s Fight On

What a weekend for Football 1’s! The boys delivered a dominant 4-0 victory over Tonbridge, and the Man of the Match was Ben Miller (NG 2021), who had a brilliant hat-trick to send the home crowd into raptures. Adding to the excitement, Oli Light (NG 2018) chipped in with a well-taken goal to seal the deal. It was a complete performance from start to finish and the squad heads into next weekend brimming with confidence. 

Meanwhile, the 2’s were involved in a rollercoaster of a game against Lancing, eventually going down 6-4 in a high-scoring clash. Plenty of positives to take forward as the team looks to tighten up at the back and bounce back strong. 

Next up: 

  • 1’s travel to Brentwood in what promises to be a tough away fixture. Can Miller keep his scoring streak alive? 

  • 2’s host Aldenham at home – the perfect chance to turn the tide and get back to winning ways.
