Global Portfolio Rebalancing
Jahangir on CNBC
Before the start of the new year, Jahangir Aka (HG 1995) shared insights following meetings with clients across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), attendance at Abu Dhabi Finance Week, and a return to the CNBC studio in Dubai discussing global asset allocation trends looking ahead to 2026. Jahangir has over 25 years of experience with global leadership in investment management, capital raising, and strategic client engagement with Central Banks.
One key takeaway is that portfolio re‑allocation is already underway. Investors are actively shifting capital towards the UK and Europe, with increased investment across infrastructure, public equities, and fixed income which is well ahead of typical planning cycles.
After more than a decade of underinvestment, these markets are attracting interest due to higher yields, lower valuations, and a more compelling opportunity set. Jahangir also highlighted that the distinction between public and private markets is often overstated, with investors increasingly seeking integrated, high‑conviction strategies that work across both.
