How Do We Remember Someone?
Congratulations to Talia Augustidis (EG 2018) for winning the Pierre Schaeffer Award at the Phonurgia Nova in Marseille last weekend! Talia’s piece that won the award is called “Dead Ends”.
Talia says that "Dead Ends” is the most personal piece she has made as it was created from exploring her relationship with her mom who passed away when she was three. In the recordings, Talia explores old photographs, home videos, news reports and memories of her mom to reflect how we choose to remember someone.
