Master of a Vessel

Congratulations to Tom Crockard (WG 2005) who received his Master 3000gt certificate back in February. With this certificate, Tom can now be in command of a ship of up to 3000 gross tonnage, its crew, passengers and cargo while at sea and in port. 

The course to receive this certificate allows its recipients to be employed as: 

• Master on board a vessel of not more than 3000 gross tonnage engaged on a near coastal Class 1 with a certificate endorsed for a limited contiguous waters voyage. 

• Master on board a vessel of not more than 3000 gross tonnage engaged on a near coastal, Class 2 voyage. 

• Master of a vessel of any tonnage engaged on a sheltered-waters voyage.
