Pre-Season Sports Matches

There was action aplenty last Saturday, as the OCs and School played their annual pre-season sports matches. 

In Fives, the OCs scored a close victory over the school, with the school exacting revenge in netball. OC Fives takes place every Thursday evening at the Mallinson courts, whilst OC netball play in the local Camden league – all new players are very welcome. 

On the football field, the OC first team were victorious on first club. A four-team tournament took place on the remaining pitches: the OC and school second teams, the OC vets, and the Josh Dorgu XI enjoyed some very close matches. It was lovely to see such skill, passion, and a positive atmosphere throughout the morning. Timi Dorgu also shared news that the JD charity will be funding a second bursary pupil to Highgate this year, in memory of his brother. He stated that Josh, who sadly passed away whilst at school, would have loved the morning and it was pleasing to see so many of his friends in attendance again. 

Good luck to all OC teams as they embark upon their new seasons. We hope the after-match Pizza, chips and beer aided the recovery process (for OCs!).
