The Richmond Marathon for Thrombosis UK

On Sunday 21 September, Emily Scoones (GH 2009) will be running her first marathon ever in Richmond!

Emily is running to raise awareness and funds for Thrombosis UK. This cause is important to Emily because two weeks after her last half marathon in 2023, she was in the hospital with breathing difficulties due to a bilateral pulmonary embolism (blood clots in both lungs) and also had significant right lung damage. Thrombosis UK is a charity that provides awareness, network support, research opportunities, educational resources, and more about Venous thromboembolism (VTE) which Emily was diagnosed with.
