Tim Garcia (SH 2011) Joins Inaugural Brick Lane Conference at Jazz Festival 2026

Tim Garcia is playing a key role in the inaugural Brick Lane Conference, launching as part of Brick Lane Jazz Festival 2026.

New for 2026, the Brick Lane Conference runs alongside the festival as a dedicated space for dialogue, knowledge‑sharing and professional development within the UK’s independent music scene. Bringing together artists, labels, broadcasters and creative leaders, the programme features talks, panels and workshops focused on sustainable creative careers and the future of underground and jazz‑rooted music. 

Tim Garcia is centrally involved in the conference, contributing his experience as a DJ, broadcaster, curator and ethnomusicologist. Speaking about the programme, Tim has highlighted its importance in connecting emerging talent with industry veterans and creating meaningful conversations at a pivotal moment for the sector. 

Alongside his conference involvement, Tim will also perform a DJ set at Rich Mix as part of Brick Lane Jazz Festival, which takes place from 24–26 April 2026 across venues in Brick Lane and Shoreditch. 

Now in its fifth year, the festival is celebrated for championing genre‑fluid music across jazz, neo‑soul, hip‑hop and electronic sounds, while supporting artists both on and off the stage.
