Why Go into the Tax Profession?

Coinciding with his retirement from Tax Notes International, Peter Mason (QG 1975) published his final tax article! 

In the article, Peter shares why he became involved in tax and why he believes others should as well. Peter says that being a tax professional is exciting because “It embraces all walks of business, from strategy to operations to transactions. It combines accounting, fiscal, fiduciary, and legal analysis”. Though the general public might not appreciate tax professionals, tax contributes to most business operations and to work in the tax industry, one needs high ethical standards.
