A Fantastic Weekend of OC Sport and Community
OC and School Netball teams
Saturday saw the annual fixtures between the School and the OCs take place in excellent spirit. The OC netball teams emerged victorious in their matches against the School, while the School claimed the honours in the First XI football fixture.
The football tournament featuring the OC and School Second XIs, the OC Vets and the Joshua Dorgu Foundation provided a series of closely contested matches. After some highly competitive encounters, the OC Vets were crowned champions and took home the Joshua Dorgu Trophy.
There was also a landmark occasion as the inaugural OC Women's Football Match took place against the School. In a closely fought contest on First Club, the OCs secured a well-deserved victory, marking a memorable first chapter in what promises to become a valued annual fixture.
A special thank you goes to the Joshua Dorgu Foundation for providing a delicious post-match barbecue, including their fantastic jollof rice. The food, accompanied by a well-earned cold drink, provided the perfect opportunity for players, supporters and spectators to come together and socialise after the games.
Most encouraging of all was the sight of so many younger OCs already becoming actively involved in the OC community. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part, supported and helped make the day such a success.
