Congratulations to Anthony, whose latest novel, American Mystery, has recently been published, bringing his acclaimed Don't Doubt the Rainbow series to an exciting conclusion. Anthony has described the final book as both a thrilling read and a deeply personal one, and it has been put forward for consideration for the inaugural Children's Booker Prize. 

The four-book middle-grade adventure series follows 13-year-old detective Edie Marble as she unravels mysteries across different locations and historical settings. Blending adventure, history and puzzle-solving, the books are also designed to support young readers' psychological wellbeing and resilience, themes that reflect Anthony's longstanding professional interests in public health and mental wellbeing.  

Alongside his success as an author, Anthony has enjoyed a distinguished career in public health. A Professor of Public Health, he has served as Clinical Director (National Clinical Policy) at NHS England and has held a number of senior national and international public health leadership roles. He is also an Honorary Professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a trustee of BookTrust.
