Diversity in Business
Demi Abiola (HG 1998) continues to be a transformative voice in media, leadership, and inclusive strategy. As the founder of Konfluence, Demi champions the idea that diversity is not a “cost centre,” but a powerful growth lever that drives revenue, relevance, and resilience for organisations.
With over 20 years of industry experience at ITV, PHD, and T&Pm, Demi has helped shape the future of inclusive marketing and representation. His work has influenced major industry frameworks including the Black Representation in Marketing (BRiM) initiative, and he has contributed to key DEI bodies such as the All In Black Talent strategy and the WPP UK inclusion council.
Demi has also earned recognition across the sector, with award wins spanning Cannes Lions, D&AD, Media Week, and more. He remains a frequent commentator, mentor, and industry judge, always advocating for the next generation of talent.
Alongside his professional achievements, Demi plays an important role within the OC Society, serving as the DiversityOfficer, where he supports efforts to foster greater inclusion and representation among Old Cholmeleians.
Most recently, Demi hosted a thought‑provoking discussion at Maslow’s Table, exploring the question “Diversity: Cost Centre or Growth Lever?” and encouraging leaders to embed inclusion directly into organisational strategy.
We’re proud to celebrate Demi’s powerful impact and his continued commitment to leadership, equity, and community.
