Eleni Davidson (HG 2014) Contributes to Major UK Climate Risk Report

Eleni Davidson (HG 2014)

Eleni Davidson, Security of Supply Insights Lead at NESO, has contributed as a Lead Author to the Fourth UK Climate Change Risk Assessment – Independent Assessment (CCRA4-IA) Technical Report.

Working with colleagues, she helped produce the Built Environment and Communities chapter, highlighting key risks facing UK buildings and communities.

The report warns that rising temperatures are increasing overheating in homes, schools and public buildings, reshaping energy demand, and compounding pressures on essential services - particularly for more vulnerable communities.

Alongside this, the Climate Change Committee’s Well-Adapted UK report stresses that temperatures above 40°C could become more common, with the cost of inaction far exceeding the cost of acting now.

Eleni praised the collaborative effort across the CCRA4 consortium, including partners from the Met Office and the Climate Change Committee, in delivering this significant national assessment.
